Who We Are

Garrett Zaino began his Salesforce journey in 2009. His former company had started using Salesforce to manage campaign lists and their sales funnel. Garrett was assigned as a business analyst to help integrate the sales process with their proprietary application used for invoicing and time & expense. Paired with a developer, Garrett identified the data structures, frequency, and error handling required by the business to keep the two systems in sync and up to date. The scope eventually expanded to other features and Salesforce turned into 360 view of their customer data encompassing Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Support for their B2B and B2C segments as well as integrations to several 3rd party applications and a few internal applications as well. This laid the foundation of Garrett’s expertise with the Salesforce platform.

Having no formal technology background other than an innate appreciation and skill with technology, Garrett went from a Business Analyst gathering and documenting requirements for business processes to a Solution Architect building integrations to support international payment processing. Thanks to Salesforce’s “Clicks over Code” mantra, Garrett was able to amplify the speed to market of his features by gathering requirements and converting them to automation immediately without requiring complex development, testing, and deployment cycles. Prior to Salesforce’s Trailhead, Garrett was able to train and achieve his Salesforce Developer certification back in 2012 - which he held for a few years before the certification path changed. From that point forward, he was able to develop Apex methods to broaden the scope of his impact. Garrett has since worked to simplify his Apex methods to reusable invokable methods (API Callouts, Batchable processes, encoding) to be leveraged by Admins in their configurations. Integration and Security focused opportunities arose as well, allowing him to get exposure to SAML, OAuth2 flows including JWT, SOC2 compliance, consumption and delivery of REST services, Real Time Platform Events, as well as SFDX and Salesforce’s DevOps processes. After leaving his former employer, Garrett gained more exposure to front end development specifically on Salesforce’s LWC framework which takes advantage of a component architecture along with their Design Library.

Over his 15 years of experience, he managed and worked with a team of analysts, developers, and QA of varying backgrounds (employees, contractors, international) to deliver business process features and products to internal and external stakeholders which supported growth of his former employer into the largest Employer of Record and Contingent Labor experts in the world - nearing $1 billion in gross services. He understands how businesses operate as well as how technology works which provides a unique set of skills to be leveraged by his partners.
